![]() As far as Point & Click adventures go, The Silent Age is a very simple one. From this moment on, Joe tries to follow the dying man instructions to prevent an upcoming apocalypse. On one ordinary morning, Joe life turn upside down when he is asked to take over the duties of a more senior Janitor, and soon runs across a dying man with a doom's day prediction and a palm-size time machine who allows you to move between the present and the future. The Silent Age tells the story of a rather simple man called Joe, who is employed as a Janitor for a military defence contractor working on cutting edge research. With its good reviews and sale price, I decided to snap it and add it to my growing collection of games. I do think this game is worth playing through, but maybe get it at a sale? Very interesting game.ħ0% PCI have recently been playing a fair share of point & click adventures, so it's not surprising that Steam pushed The Silent Age into my profile recommendation. The soundtrack of the game was also quite interesting, as it was pretty silent most of the times, I guess hence the name, but there were some really cool atmospheric sounds used that gave the game an eerie feeling, which worked really well with the story. ![]() The clicking did get a little annoying at times, I wished I could have used the arrow keys to move around. The artwork is really nice and I was surprised how amazingly this pc-port of a mobile game worked out so well. I did like the jumping from the present to the future mechanic a lot and using that for the puzzles was fun, even though the puzzles themselves were very easy to figure out. It's weird, but also gets quite boring fast. You forget? Nah nah, it is about time travel, you know. It repeatedly mentions that it's about time travel, all the time. Sadly, the story and puzzles were very lackluster. 70% PCtime travel, puzzles and spooky atmosphere? sign me up! I was pretty excited to start this game due to the artwork looking really nice and my interest in time travelling.
